This notice applies to www.rumfestival.it, the Milano Rum Festival selection catalogue. You can browse without accepting statistical cookies. Purchases take place on whiskyshop.it, where that website’s notices apply.
1. Controller and contact

2. Data and purposes
- Browsing and security. Hosting provider Aruba may process technical request data, such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information, to deliver and secure the website and diagnose errors. Legal basis: legitimate interests in service availability and security, GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
- Email and telephone enquiries. If you contact us, we process your contact details and the information you provide to respond. Legal basis: taking pre-contractual steps at your request where applicable, or legitimate interests in managing correspondence (Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). Do not send sensitive information unnecessary for your enquiry.
- Usage statistics. With your consent only, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and improve the catalogue. This may involve pseudonymous identifiers, pages and interactions, device and browser information, visit sources and approximate location. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a)). These data are not considered anonymous merely because they do not contain a name.
- Remembering cookie choices. A browser record stores your choice, its date and the notice version, so we can respect your preferences and avoid repeatedly displaying the banner.
3. How Analytics works
The Google tag loads only after you accept statistics. Website code disables Google signals and advertising personalization and keeps advertising consent denied. No advertising pixels or registration or payment forms are installed. Analytics cookies configured by this website last up to 180 days without automatically renewing their expiry. You can withdraw consent through Manage cookies: further measurement is disabled and Analytics cookies accessible to the website are removed. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
4. Recipients and transfers
Data may be processed by authorized MWF SRL staff and providers supporting hosting, email and maintenance, according to their roles and applicable agreements. The Analytics contracting provider in the European Economic Area is Google Ireland Limited; the service may involve Google LLC and other subprocessors outside the EEA. Google provides safeguards described in its terms, including standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, adequacy decisions. 5. Retention
Preferences are remembered for six months unless removed from the browser or changed. Hosting technical data are retained as needed for service delivery and security, according to provider configuration and applicable obligations. Correspondence is retained to handle your enquiry and any resulting relationship; further retention may be needed for legal obligations or to establish or defend rights.
For user-level and event-level data, standard Google Analytics supports retention settings of 2 or 14 months, up to a maximum of 14 months. This setting does not determine retention of aggregated reports, which may be kept longer. You may contact MWF SRL for information about the setting applied to the property.
6. Your rights
Where provided by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Write to info@whiskyshop.it or our registered address. You may also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority. We do not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
7. Your choices and external websites
Statistical consent is optional; declining does not restrict browsing. Contact details are needed only if you wish to receive a reply.
